Turkish Player Criticizes International Silence on Gaza Aggression

Galatasaray FC player Khalil Darwish Oglu explained the meaning of his move after scoring a goal in his team's Turkey Cup match.

He revealed that they symbolized the "silent face of the world" towards the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which has been going on for more than 100 days, criticizing what is happening in the Strip.

After scoring a penalty shot on his team's fourth goal in front of Omraniyat Sabur, Deroğlu did not celebrate the goal, only covered his eyes with a hand and put his finger in front of his mouth, in a sign of (international) silence.

On his Instagram account, Friday, the player said " I didn't celebrate, I just expressed the face of the world. I attach his post to an emoji of the Palestinian flag and precede it with the word " freedom".

Since October 7, the Israeli occupation has waged a devastating war on Gaza that has left some 25,000 people dead, more than 62,000 injured, and caused an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, displacing about two million people, more than 85% of the Strip's population.
